Open just for the weekend to see the snowdrops. Ask to try a ride on the penny farthing bike in reception. Be careful and have fun 😀

We visited the private gardens when the snow drops were in full bloom, sadly the house is closed until March. We had a joyful walk around all the different sections of the garden and found each segment delightful. You can tell this was a much...More

Think ‘Sir John Soanes’ but this house was not lived in at the same time as the collection grew. The Manor houses the collection of Charles Paget Wade. He bought the manor house purely to house and exhibit his extensive collection of all things that...More

We visited on the last day of the season. Well worth the visit. Such an interesting house and the story behind it. Even for the time of year the Gardens were really lovely. There’s something around every corner. Wonderful history.

I can see from some reviews that people may have expected something a little different from Snowshill Manor before visiting. Perhaps something brighter, cleaner and more cheerful. Something more elegant and sophisticated perhaps. Snowshill Manor is none of these things. Dowton Abbey it isn't. Its...More

It needs a significant house to place all Mr Wade collected. After a gentle walk past some sheep and an orchard your ticket is stamped and you're in. The rooms have a low light which sometimes makes study a bit tricky. The Stars have to...More

This is our second visit to snowshill. We visited two years ago and have returned. Its really good wen you get a tour so they can tell you all the interesting facts. Staff are really helpful.

Hope they leave this as intended by Mr Wade and don’t try and turn it into a theme park sort of venue. Visit the lovely village and great pub rather than just going home.

Visited the Manor on a rainy, misty day - thus it was somewhat dark inside. We thoroughly enjoyed touring through all the various rooms where the collector Charles Wade kept the thousands of objects he had collected. They came from all periods of human history...More

Snowshill Manor and Gardens lies just outside the village of Snowshill and a few miles outside Broadway in the heart of the Chiltern Hills. This manor is now in the hands of the National Trust since 1951. This is not the place to give a...More

I was there in August (by car admittedly) but I'm pretty sure I saw a bike rack in the car park near the entrance to the ticket office. And even if there isn't a rack, and you just have a bike lock, your bike would be very... More
