    Big White in July
We travelled to Big White in July for a 5 day hiking trip. The trails were marvelous and varied with great views. We hiked during the week and were surprised as to how quiet the trails were, we passed very few fellow hikers. The chairlift only operates Thursday to Sunday, we enjoyed the smooth running chairlift. The biking trails were more popular than the hiking trails. When we arrived on a Tuesday the Village felt like a Ghost Town, very few holidayers but lots of constuction. Unfortunately the sereneity was ruined by the sound of heavy trucks at 7am and the following hammering at other sites. It was all okay as when you climbed the mountain it was serene. The Village was disappointing as only a few restaurants were operational in the summer, and then only Thurdsay to Sunday with limited hours. For the most part the restaurants were average with a limited menu, the Global and the Woods were our best experiences. The biggest disappointment was the Market, not at all like it's web page. The pictuerd deli was completely empty,no fresh pizza only a few sausage rolls and meat pies sitting under a heat lamp. The vegetable selection was of poor quality and very sparse, the only bread was Dempsters white. I am glad we planned ahead brought food with us. Our accomadation at the Inn at Big White was basic, large , clean and resonably priced. the cooking facilities are limited but functional. The Inn has a nice outdoor pool. I would rate the hiking trails, location anf chairlift as 5 stars. The Village I rate as 3 stars.

    Hiking Big White 🇨🇦
Fantastic days hiking up Big White. Trails very well marked and would definitely say hike up and ski lift back down. Would like to have tried the MTB trail but didn’t have time. We will be back. Not much happening in the resort, much is closed (summer) but managed a beer at the only bar open. 🇨🇦👍

Horse Sleigh Ride at Big White Ski Resort
Don’t miss out on the Horse Sleigh ride at Big White!! Hank and Willy the two gorgeous Percheron horses, lead by Lynsay will take you on a fun Sleigh ride through the woods. You get to interact with the horses too. We loved it.

Amazing Dog Sledding at Big White
My 2 teenage kids and I went on one of the best experiences of our lives, when we went dog sledding at Big White. We got to meet the beautiful Alaskan Huskies and watched with amazement and admiration as they so keenly did their ‘work’ of pulling the sleds along the snowy and tree-lined trails. We were very well looked after by our hosts. We cannot recommend this experience highly enough!

    We found Narnia!
Family of 4 from New Zealand visiting Big White for the first time. Kids 10 and 12. Wow !! What an unforgettable experience, incredible deep dry snow, friendly helpful staff, unpretentious, really well stocked market for cooking at home, a bottle shop and more than enough options for eating out. Family friendly, particularly the happy valley area. Awesome fireworks display every saturday night. Loved the tea room for great coffee. Kids had a ski lesson on the first day which set them up really well for finding their way around the mountain and boosted their confidence. Loads of wide green ski runs, and heaps of options for more experienced skiers/boarders. Rented gear for the whole stay and lift pases once you have the initial card is reloadable online. If you forget or lose any gear there are a couple of big shops for that in the village, they have everything you need. It was pretty foggy for most of our time which is not unusual for here, get some good googles for flat light. Did the sleigh ride and it was the most magical experience, Lynsey was fantastic and so knowledgeable, if you go on the later trip at 4.30 the lights will be coming on which makes it extra pretty. Accomodation wise we stayed at woodcutter cabins which being halfway between the top.and the bottom.of the gondola was a bit tricky at times. If travelling with young kids, bad knees or no car it would be a better bet to stay at the top or the bottom near the gondola for easy getting around. The half hourly free shuttle helps for grocery runs. I see some negative reviews on here regarding grooming of runs and service etc but if you're visiting from NZ or OZ this place will not disappoint, everyone's friendly, portions are generous and the snow is incredible. Oh yeah it's a card only mountain, no cash. Have fun!

    Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant
We arrived just as it was snowing. The next two days were epic powder days. The locals said it was the best of the season so far. We had fresh tracks all day. Tree skiing was insane. We stayed at Crystal Inn. Best location out of all the accomodation choices. Right next to the slope. Very close to the restaurants and shops. We had such a great time.

A++ for Big White - Fabulous Service, Great Terrain
We had a fabulous family vacation at Big White. Every single person we dealt with was helpful and friendly. It was great to use Central Reservations for the booking. They made everything easy and they chose a perfect accomodation for us. The condo we had was fabulous. It was larger than it looked in the photos and perfect for 6 of us plus additional visitors for meals. It was truly ski-in, ski-out. There's lots of varied terrain with something for everyone. Lots of long Blue and Green runs. Even though this was probably the worst winter ever for snowfall, we had good snow some days, lots of fog and rain, some sun, some icy and foggy conditions. Despite the less than perfect conditions we had a great vacation and got lots of runs in. I use a wheelchair and ski in a sitski and everything was easy. We had some maintenance issues with our accomodation and these were rectified immediately with grace and friendliness. The lifties were top notch. They paid attention to all the skiers and they were very accomdating in helping make it as easy as possible for me to access the lifts. They were trained in how to help a sitskier. The grooming of the hills at Big White is also excellent. We give Big White A++ for customer service. We will definitely be back!

    SLEIGH RIDE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
We did the sleigh ride on February 13. I can't recommend this enough! Friendly guide, gentle terrain and the views are stunning. We didn't;t do the sleigh ride + dinner, just the ride. But it was fantastic! HIGHLY recommended!

    10/10 Must Visit!
Hands down best ski resort I have been at! I flew in with a few friends and stayed at a rented condo. We were just across the road from the Bullet Express chair lift. This was the first hill we have been at with a “media card” and it was easily the greatest invention ever made. We bought our tickets online to save some money, got our cards printed the first day we arrived, and anytime we wanted to add another day online, it would just load up on the card and we DIDN’T have to go back to the ticket window each time! What a time saver! We lucked out with only one day of pretty poor visibility, but it was an incredible trip with SO MANY runs and for all levels! The cherry on top of our daily tickets was the night skiing that came with it! What a blast ruling down those hills at night, it was incredible scenery with the pitch black sky and bright white frosted trees. We explored majority of the mountain while we were there but we did eventually hitting up our favourites each day as much as we could. We did notice that the right side of the hill with Bullet Express and Black Forest chair lifts were shorter lines, as well as powder gulch on the left side. What is great is you can just keep riding either direction to find more and more runs and it’s just a massive playground! They have done a marvellous job on the upkeep and maintenance of the hill and the lifties were all absolutely great humans and had great suggestions on where to check out next. We have already planned our next trip for 2025 to come back and do it all again. This mountain is a MUST!

I've been to Big White 4 times now. Sometimes fresh deep snow and sometimes blue sky and sun. Always a great base with very few people in the lineup or on the slopes. Every kind of terrain from above the tree line to an amazing park to long easy green runs.
Sundance resort offers everything adults to kids could ask for plus a free shuttle anytime you don't feel like taking the short little walk to the village.
I've been to many ski resorts and this is my favorite place to ski and snowboard with family and friends.

Big White Ski Resort is a must ski destination in Canada - particularly if looking for a family-friendly environment. I live in Toronto, Ontario and have visited the resort three times now for some long weekend ski trips with an old friend who lives in Kelowna, BC.
Typically great snow conditions, with a broad range a skiable terrain for all abilities. The resort has good accommodation (I recommend using its CENRES central reservation services as opposed to trying to figure out what will work best for you) and many activities and food services to choose from when not on one of the 119 runs or 16 lifts (which had very few line-ups during my visits in mid-January and late March). Of note, foggy conditions are common, otherwise, expect value for your money and a great time at Big White Ski Resort!

The skiing is amazing. This was our 4th year for 2 weeks in March. No line ups...ever ...at the lifts. Great variety of runs. Great ticket deals for families.
The accommodations: We have stayed at white crystal, inn at big white and white foot lodge. Generally the accommodations are NOT great. Inn at big white is probably the best of the bunch, but like many ski hill accommodations the kitchen set up is "limited" (putting it nicely)
This year we checked in to white crystal only to discover: a broken chair, broken Murphy bed, broken fridge. (All fixed in due time... but who wants to deal with that while on vacation) Which is too bad because last year the room at white Chrystal was fine and super convenient. (Real ski in ski out) I would not even bother with inn at big white. It's run down and dumpy.
Oh... and Rib night at the bull wheel. Huge pile of ribs at a great price!!!

This is an amazing place, I unfortunately had an accident within the 1st 2 hours of my 1st time skiiing (nothing to do with Big White…) and the medical staff were absolutely fantastic. Big White even refunded both our passes and rental gear, even though my rented salopettes had to be cut open (and my partner had not even been able to use his adult pass). This was way above our expectations. I also felt really reassured with the fitting of rental gear. Extremely thorough. We also stayed in a fantastic lodge on site. Gutted I didn’t get to do more skiing here - but it’s not put me off trying again! :))

We took a multi generational trip and our granddaughter got to ski and see snow for the 1st time! the conditions were great for everything. We were impressed by the kids programs too-everything in 1 location! there were 2 magic carpet hills for 1st time skiers/boarders. Ski school was excellent.Grandma took the women’s clinic,DIL took private lessons and GD(age 4+) took kids lessons and did the tots daycare. all programs were excellent! We all went tubing and ice skating as well!
The highlights were the dog sledding tours and horse sleigh ride dinners! Special shout out to these tour operators! We did the dog sled tour 2 times-Cary and Tim were great and the dogs were so friendly too! Lindsay and Merta gave us a special evening with the horse sled tour and gourmet dinner in a little cabin! Our accommodation at Stonebridge condo was great too-our #3208 room was perfect for our needs!

This was our fifth visit to the mountain. My son and partner came this year, and like us cant stop raving about Big White.
As soon as bookings open for 2025, were in !!
The conditions as always, were amazing. The village vibe is great, apre's-ski is never dull.
Great restaurants in the village.
We bought new skis in the village this trip as what we ski on in New Zealand didn't work so great with all the new powder we kept getting.
Thoroughly recommend the guys at Dizzy's who provided us some choices to try through Big White ski hire before making our final decision.
The hire staff were awesome in setting these up for us to try.
Why would you want to stay anywhere else?

We loved the ski-in/ski-out option from our condo and the fact that it was walking distance to the village. There is a variety of lunch options on the hills and in the village. Loved "The Woods" restaurant. We had great service from the ski rental personnel and very quick response from the condo personnel when we requested needed items. All in all, a great place to ski!

Everything was perfect!! I mean, the skiing, the accommodations, the service we received from Big White Central Reservations, everything! Pickup from airport was flawless (even though our initial flight was cancelled and we got there at midnight instead of noon), checkin was fast and easy (despite it being almost at 1am), and then everything that came after was great.

Thank you to the amazing team at Big White. We can’t wait to go back.
