Will not support this business! Insisting that children wear masks on the slopes is ridiculous and against the posted safety guidelines!!! THEY ARE OUTDOORS. Get your act together!

It seems this place needed a bit of a loving review after there haven’t been many of late... well here it is! I absolutely enjoyed my time here. 3 days of alpine skiing with fantastically groomed and quite wide runs. We are intermediate to advanced skiers and enjoyed every minute! The quality of the high performance rentals was great- I think my boots were brand new. The staff at the rentals really took the time to suit the skis to you. Excellent snow conditions and just great all-around skiing! We spent one day at the resort Nordic skiing which was also picturesque. There’s also skating and tubing available. I highly, highly recommend this resort for those wanting a self-contained holiday with excellent skiing for a 4-6 day break. Oh, and it was rather pretty, too!

I have new felt so screwed by a ski hill! At the moment I wouldn't even give this place one star! I have skied around the world, as I used to be a ski racer, career coach and ski instructor. Unfortunately I am far from the only one who feels this way at Silverstar at the moment. There are many of us in my situation. My family of four have been season pass holders since I moved to Vernon several years ago. We were actually even considering purchasing property at Silverstar until the pandemic hit. This year I have been forced to pay the same price for a pass that I CAN'T USE most of the time my children are not in school and I have no other option! I spoke to the manager of ticketing and sales about it yesterday, and was offered my money back to walk away, which means walking away from skiing. This person claimed to share my passion for skiing, but no one who shares my passion for this sport would suggest anyone, let alone a loyal season pass holder and passionate skier, should walk away from the sport. This person also said they were truly "sorry for my situation." I would like to point out Silverstar created this situation (for me and many, many others) by limiting the number of seasons passes, arbitrarily without warning, before the earlybird price ending date had even arrived! I don't want the empty words of an apology! I want Silverstar to FIX this situation, either by removing the ridiculous limits on our "limited" passes we paid the SAME PRICE FOR or figuring out how to COMPENSATE us accordingly at the end of the season for the resulting LESSER PRODUCT they have forced apon us. I also want everyone thinking of spending money at Silverstar, to know how people like me are being taken advantage of at the moment. Apparently Silverstar has no intention of doing anything other than saying, "sorry" we're going to take advantage of you at the moment, don't like it walk away. I ask all of you, when booking your trips, holidays and ski days in the future, as this pandemic ends, do you really want to spend your money in a place that treats their passionate, loyal season pass holders the way Silverstar has treated so many of us? Probably many of you are pass holders elsewhere. How would you like to be treated this way? As the pandemic ends, you people in the skiing world will have options for where you spend your money. I suggest you consider somewhere that doesn't take advantage of their loyal, local pass holders. I understand the pandemic is difficult for everyone but solutions to pandemic problems do not need to involve taking advantage of eachother! Steve Moore A less than impressed, passionate skier

Friendly small town ambience, the bike trails are super and well built and even when the lines a little longer they move quickly. Trails to suit all abilities , first time here and all 9 of our party loved it. Staff are super helpful

I had been excited to check out SilverStar’s mountain biking trails for a while and was extremely disappointed when I finally had the chance. What a let-down, especially when it touts it’s own achievements so highly. I’ve been on locally maintained trails that are in better condition and not had to pay to ride them. The braking bumps were really bad on every single trail except the pro lines. The trails looked like nobody has been up-keeping them at all, let alone for a bike park. Waste of money. I’d rather donate to locally maintained trails every day of the week. Not to mention the jump lines... if you can even call them that...I’d have enough speed to barely clear a jump and then get catapulted 10ft past the transition a second later on the next. It was the most poorly designed “progression park” I can imagine. We maybe made 6-7 lifts up for the day as it was so crowded that the lift line extended to the bottom of the runs. I would be embarrassed to have such an arrogantly written website if my mountain was in this shape. 1 extra star for the staff, who were all fantastic.
