This resort has gone downhill drastically fast since the sale. The ski school this year has jacked up its prices. Cut the included lunch and after lessons aftercare. That’s after charging 20% more than last year. It’s a sad state of affairs after coming the last five years we will move our business to another resort. Perfect example of human greed and putting your customers last.

Skiing is good there but don’t expect to find out about anything on their website. This morning at 9 am it stated that it was minus seven with light snow. What a joke. It was a bluebird day. They also showed no chairlifts opened. Who is responsible for keeping the snow report up. This happens all the time. Wake up and get the job done

Worst snow in 20 years, and it was outstanding. Enough said - I don't want too many to show up because I'm going back for sure.

Came here for the Paradise Camp dinner tour. We were 45 minutes late due to an accident on the road and they were very accommodating. One member in our party is gluten and dairy intolerant, and they were super accommodating. The service was amazing. Thank you for making the evening memorable.

Silver Star is a nice little resort, but I have to say that it left me and my friend a bit...wanting.

Not surprisingly, the resort's food places were expensive. We were there for four nights and unfortunately, dining out each night was the only experiences on offer at the whole resort. When we asked around for nightly activities like trivia or karaoke or live music, we were greeted with people wondering, nobody seemed to know anything for sure. We were given wrong information a couple of times and when we were told about a trivia night at the Red Antler, when we went in to ask about it, they said that it was cancelled because the staff were having a party. During Spring Break? I don't know about you, but I would think that a ski resort would be kind of bumpin' during Spring Break and that providing fun stuff to do would be a priority, but the next night another bar was closed for yet another staff party.

We were here for nordic activities and they were great, however, I wanted to ski at Sovereign as it has an amazing reputation, but my friend understandably didn't want to drive up there a second time because the road was SO bad that she was worried the hellacious rivers of potholes would ruin her car. So, that was a shame and we relied on the trails at Silver Star. They were ok, but the maps were super hard to read and they never had a "you are here" sticker to help you figure it out. Not great.

We really liked our hotel, but to be honest we found the resort to be lacking overall.

First time visit and hope to return every year. We did nordic skiing and the provide mountain hosts to ski with you every morning. It was the best thing to get a feel for the mountain trails. Soooo unlike Ontario nordic skiing.
There is something to do for everyone. Alpine, nordic, snowshoe, just walking, fat biking. There are expertly groomed trails for everything. And amazing pond skating.
Resort and restaurants are very laid back. We have downhill skied throughout Canada and US and this was by far the very best experience.

We stayed here for 4 nights. The resort is small with 4 main restaurants, bakery/ cafe, a pub, a grocery/ off- license a pizza place and a couple of shops. Eating out was ok compared to UK prices. The shops were ok. The skiing was good with lovely snow. Ski lifts had very short queues though we noticed that the weekend was very busy. We used the Kelowna concierge transfer from the airport to the resort which was very good, prompt and delivered us door to door. Ski hire and ski passes were easy to organise. All staff very helpful.

Small family skiing resort that is a fairytale to the eyes for Aussies! But before I forget the cost of ski hire at the ‘resort’ is 2-2.5 times what you pay in Oz - it’s grossly expensive & absurd. Not sure if this is a BC thing but it’s so expensive it’s more than the cost of the ski gear. Warning - buy in Oz & fly direct with your own gear
