Winter: ski (downhill and x country), snowshoe, tubing. Apres ski and night life. Decent restaurants and pubs. Coffee shops. Lots of accommodation. Summer: biking (downhill and x country), hiking, campsites with or without power. And only 20 minutes from Vernon. What's not to like?

SilverStar is a hidden gem - beautiful, wide sloping runs for all levels, and great powder when we were there. Adult day passes are far more reasonably priced than Big White or Whistler, and we were able to get good equipment rentals quickly and easily....More

Spent a few days skiing at Silver Star, and wish I could have stayed longer. No crowds, fast lifts, and some of the best terrain I have skied in BC in a while. Most of the runs feel like it t is fall-line skiing. Great...More
