There is so much to see at the Beamish Open air museum it is impossible to list them all here. From the trams through Victorian Streets, the old shops with original goods, the farrier, the trams, the old pithead, the pitman's cottages, the adit mime, the old school, and even more! Children and adults are amazed. No description can do... More

So much to see, couldn't fit it in in one visit. Fortunately, the tickets are valid for 12 months, so are great value. 1912 Village, working 1940's farm, trams that run around the edge of the site. All with guides dressed in period costume. Full of fascinating information. Great for older folks and educational for the young. Would recommend it,... More

I fully expect places to be busy in school holidays but for such a large site, there were long queues... More

One of the best ways to spend your day, especially when the weather is dry. The staff are really great, always smiling and it's great to see them interact with children.
