This is our second visit in a year as the tickets we purchased last year although quite expensive can be used for a 12 month period. Since our last visit there has been another couple of shops open in the town. Although we were there last year there are still things that we seemed to miss the last time round.... More

Don't let the admission charge put you off. Judging by the queues many others thought that too. Ticket can be used for 12 months multi visits. Friendly staff, informative and good displays. Expansive with lots of varied activities. We chose a very popular, hot, Sunday with lots of visitors. Some eateries were crowded ouit, but we just moved on to... More

An interesting and informative insight into a victorian town. The shops and houses were amazing. The 1913 coal mine was a real eye -opener. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and really made our visit a day to remember. A great day for all the family.

I always enjoy a visit to the museum, can't get round it in a day, I also like the fact that you are always adding to it, I can't wait to see the next addition

You get what you pay for when you visit here - it's very pricey at about £18 for an adult but it's a great experience. It's good for all ages, different historical periods and lots of hands on things to do. When I went there was a trip into the mine - a little but too claustrophobic for myself but... More

Like every time I go there the queues for things like Pub or Sweet shop in the end we gave up. Bakery we stuck it out for 30 minutes, you will need to think up some other ideas guys it is very frustrating. Each time I sign up for an annual pass and come only 1 time !!!! Why it... More

We had a brilliant day at beamish, the staff in their various section were brilliant at bringing the history alive. Once inside you could travel on the trams or coaches as many times as you like. We would have liked to go on the steam train that ran from the railway station, but on our day the steam train was... More

We stayed at Riding Farm when visiting Beamish Museum. Angus and Louise where very informative about the Museum and only 7 minutes away. Louise told us all that was to see and where would be busy and the best route around the Museum. We will be back to both Riding Farm and Beamish Museum

Great day out for all the family. I love this place! We've visited numerous times and went back today with some friends and their daughter they loved it too. The staff really make this place come alive :-)
