The cathedral is impressive outside with carvings and statues. It is beautiful inside with many old furnishings and artwork. There are several tombs inside the cathedral including Pope Clemens II and the Emperor Heinrich and his wife Kunigunde. There is a statue of a Bamberg Horseman. It is a interesting place to visit.

The cathedral has many treasures which makes the inside of the church as impressive as its outside. One of the treasures is a statue of the Bamberger Reiter (Bamberg Horseman). There are a number of large tombs in the church, which is a bit unusual. The tombs include the Emperor Heinrich and his wife Kunigunde (who are revered in the... More

The was a beautiful building set in a stunning square. The altar was magnificent. This is well worth a visit. Thearchtecture is stunning, soaring in to the sky. A great example of medieval religious architecture.

A nice old cathedral on top of the hill but without a guide hard to follow because no audioguides. Interesting contrast to the old cathedrals in places like Spain and France. Has an original 13th century statue still in place.
