The first 5 or so minutes were very interesting, passing the Klein Vendig, but after that it was boredom, boredom, boredom! It was OK untio we reached the lock, but soon we were treated to the sights of industrial sites, scrap metal dumps and the like, we turned around and were subjected to looking at them again! Unless you are... More

For me as being from Bamberg this is the worst thing for tourist to do when visiting this beautiful city. We had friends over from abroad and thought this might be a nice activity to do but it turns out that it was a waste of money. The boat trip is 80 minutes long and so boring, that you actually... Bamberg was one of the most picturesque and welcoming places I have ever been to, So the prospect of a nice river trip on a very hot day to see some more of the area seemed a good idea , ( well that was the idea ) We queue for a while , we soon saw the boat was filling... More

I always jump at an opportunity to passively see the sights. This ride was a welcome rest after walking many miles around Bamberg. Little Venice was scenic, saw a cruise ship, and also experienced the locks. I enjoyed the ride and my beverage and a rest from our active sightseeing. The boat ride costs 10 Euros and not worth that... More

Very disappointing. The advertising material indicated that you were going to be on the Danube. This is misleading. After 5 ministers we went through a lock then looked at some industrial sites. Then we turned around and came back. The view of little Venice was good. But that was the only good thing about the experience. The commentary was in... More

Save your money for something else. Except for the first and last five minutes there was nothing to see except industrial buildings. The lock experience was interesting though...should have turned around here. Commentary was in German and the English notes read as if you were going to be on the Danube...actually far from it.

As others have mentioned the first 5/10 minutes going through the town were very nice. The tour should have stopped at the lock rather than subject everyone to an hour of looking at industrial buildings and piles of scrap. My German girlfriend assures me that the commentary added very little to the overall experience.

9 euros. No English commentary, long stretch of very uninteresting scenery but interesting to go through the lock. Got to see a river cruise boat up close and wondered why THEY parked up in the industrial zone. ..

As others have stated the "scenic" part of this boat ride is while it transverses the town. It offers the BEST view of the little Venice area, unobtainable from the land. Unfortunately the bulk of the time is spent riding through an unremarkable industrial area (where the river cruise boats tie up), and a narrow bush lined channel. Nothing to... More

5 minutes at the start and end of the 80 minute trip was all I can say was enjoyable, however, if you enjoy looking at cement works (from both sides of the plant), have an interest in scrap yards, factory sites and some commercial barges then knock yourself out. Fly tipping and the odd duck were also to be seen.... More
