The exhibits are outstanding and the Museum just around the corner from St. Peter’s Cathedral. The Dali exhibit was extended into January of 2019, if you like his work. About a hundred Magnificent drawings of various biblical themes. Sadly, no video or photos were allowed...More

This museum was a revelation. It is stuffed full of treasures including copes and clothing dating back to the eleventh century. It is a shame that they offer no guidebook (even in German) and allow no photography.

The pieces displayed at this museum (specially the textiles) are really worth seeing. However, do not expect any information in English or any other language but German. For a museum that is charging visitors, I think this is not fair or nice.

While there is a fee for the museum while the church is free it is included in the Bamberg Card. The museum has wonderful holy outfits and artifacts from through the ages. Enjoy!

Enjoyed our visit, as the inside is interesting as well as the exhibits. Again, it is included in the Bamberg Card, so we got it for free! Like all museums, you have to put your day pack, purse, etc in a locker, but remember, you...More

You don't need to be religious to enjoy this museum but if you have an interest in history you cannot fail to be impressed with this collection, especially the ancient textiles and the huge silver processional cross. The entry can be purchased on a combined...More
