The museum is modestly sized, but has excellent exhibits and the supporting graphics, models, photos and videos (all bilingual) are first class. The outdoor exhibits are a bit weather-beaten. Dornier has a proud history and the museum does it justice, although it's rather sad that...More

Interesting array of different aircraft and information about Space. Added bonus was the Star Trek collection which was really interesting and fun to see.

Another "must-visit" museum when in Friedrichshafen or environs. Brilliant exhibits with some aircraft open for internal inspection.

As an avid WW2 aircraft buff, I was hoping to see if not a complete example or at least parts of Dornier's aircraft. In particular the fastest non-jet fighter of WW2. Otherwise, the museum was very good on flying boats and space technology.

The Lake Bodensee is a good place for aviation. Dornier is the other air pioneer which was producing aircrafts here. This exhibition will show you the important developments of this aircraft builder. You will find complementary special exhibitions.
