A museum with a very good selection of motorbikes, scooters and bicycles interestingly displayed. The exhibits are in great condition and it is good to see the older machines being looked after so well. The history of the motor cycle is covered well. Really enjoyed the display of bikes and the men who made long overland journeys across the continents.

Staying with friends in the area, a rainy day, a museum! I'm not really into motorbikes but I had a great hour and a half here, so if you love bikes this is seriously worth a trip off the beaten track. Hundreds of bikes through the ages, from across the world, from touring to sport, from deserts to ice. Beautiful... More

Well, my father used to work at this factory, so I had to go. A great place to visit, if you have some time. Some of the goods in the giftshop, items decorated with old adverts from the NSU company that made bicycles and motorcycles, make fun gifts.

Not that they only show German machines by any means, but this museum is delightfully methodically laid out in several galleries, all of which have themes. You can compare shaft-drive arrangements across time and territory, see examples of the "British School" of motorycyles and compare with "Italian School" opposite. You can explore an amazing variety of human-powered propulsion types, understand... More

Much better than I thought, the NSU bit is confined to the cellar but there are another 5 exhibition areas! Bicycles get a room of their own as do 'record breakers', the other rooms giving a reasonable fling at tracing motorcycle development from 18 blob to the present. Good value at 4 euros fifty

In a castle, and with about 5 floors worth of motorcycles and bicycles, the museum has something for just about anyone with any kind of interest in bikes. The museum takes you through the history from bicycles to current motorcycles. The signs are all in German sadly, but the cost to get in for students was only 2.50 euro. I... More
