Good for those interested in the Blue Rider group and Gabriele Munter, and also an interesting collection of reverse glass paintings. Well-displayed. Most information is in German only but there are some English explanations.

OK, this is not spectacular, but the collection of paintings on glass is very good. The paintings of Gabrielle Munter are well represented, and the 'Blau Reiter' group, and the story of the writer Odon von Horvath is very interesting.
There is Blue Rider work on display, including work by longtime local resident Gabrielle Muenter. It is well worth adding to a trip to Murnau to see the house where she and Wassily Kandinsky lived and worked. The surprise is the collection of "Hinterglas Malerei"...More
