Go and even if you're afraid of heights you'll be glad tyou did. It's spectacular and when you get to the top you will be glad yu did as you hike in the mountains . Walk down and relax with a beer after!
Quick and well organised single Cabin lift, but small (12 - 15 persons). Good cafe at summit and nice walks but view at summit of lift restricted to 180 degrees. Nice walks to it along river from Ruhpolding.

Friendly ride up and down. Lots of facilities at the top including a restaurant, walks are also available around the summit and the summit cross is a must just to touch and look out over the mountain tops. And yes the toilets facilities are fine.
We took the gondola up the mountain and hiked down. Great options for trails and easy to navigate. This was a great experience, spending a couple of hours trekking down the mountain with fantastic views. We would do this again.

Some of our fellow guests did the 4 1/2 hour walk and enjoyed it. The tourist information centre in Ruhpolding is excellent and sells walking maps of the local area.
