wanted to this for years. went up with a team of paragliders. played in the snow. We did not allow enough time to see it all. plan 2-3 hours at least or more to trek the trails.

The ride to the top of Mount Tegelberg in the gondla provides a new perspective to Ludwigs two castles, but only during the ride up and down. However, the views from the summit are equally amazing, turn one way to see the valley below and...More

Price is also quite high with 20 €. To get here from the A7 you have to pass through Austria. Parking is also full fast.

Back on the top of Tegelberg after almost 60 years. This time not by foot but by Tegelbergbahn. If they state that the first tour is at 9 am it should not leave at 09.45.....

Great views and so much fun. It's over so quickly, but so worth it. Our whole family including my 73 year old mother had a good time on the slide. We had lunch in the restaurant in the parking lot which was alright.

It is situated in the carpark of the cablecar. Not many people at 13:00 on a cold march day. It costs 3-3.80€ per person. Kids will love it. We did it after the cablecar and enjoyed the 10mins.

We rewarded the kids with some runs down the Tegelbergbahn alpine slide after a nice hike up to the castles earlier in the day. Very picturesque and you can actually see the castle's from the slides. They also have some zip lines and swing sets...More

My husband and I had lots of fun on the Tegelbergbahn. It's only a few minutes away from Schwangau, very close to the castles. We both left with big smiles on our faces. Our inner child was very happy.

Is this open in late December? Are we crazy to even think of doing this at that time of year? Thanks!

If you're wanting to ride the shiny, silver luge, it's called Die Sommerrodelbahn (or the summer toboggan run), so I wouldn't expect it to be open in the winter. However, when I looked in the winter section of... More

My husband and I will be visiting Neuschwanstein in October and wanted to do the Tegelberg luge and Cable car while there. We will have a rental car. I looked at the website, but seeing as my German is non-existent, I have no idea if it will even be open while we are there. Can anyone help? Looking for opening times, prices, etc... Also best way to get there. Is it better to go before or after the castles? And is driving or hiking better? Will take any and all advice since this is our first trip to the area! Thanks!!
