This was originally a short visit in Bad Harzburg and I even didn't plan to go to the Burgberg but when I saw those lovely cabins I couldn't resist and caught the last possible ride that day. I don't regret. Although it is very short I enjoyed it and especially liked the views to the Kurpark. Staff was friendly and helpful too.

Not cheap but it saves you some steep hiking meters. Last tour is about 18:00 so dont be late for that or you have to hike down

The Burgberg Cable Car was built in 1929 by the Bleichert engineering corporation and has a length of 481 metres. Up to 18 people per gondola lift the cable car to the summit in three minutes and for a minimal fee is much easier than hiking up to the summit. You will have an impressive view of Bad Harzburg, the surrounding mountains and the vast Harz foothills. Although I am not a fan of heights, I enjoyed the ride. Cheers!

This is a short ride by most comparisons. Easy to get to after a short walk. It is not very high so the views are somewhat limited but it is the best way to get to the top of mountain
