Good treetop walk.
Oct. 2019 • Couples
We went to the top of the Burg by cable car then walked to the start of the treetop trail. Long walk not well signposted, but well worth it. The trail is very well made and full of interesting facts and things to do.

Great Treetop Walk in Combination with Cable Car
Jun. 2019 • Family
It is a great walk at the treetop. With good views and a lot of exhibits. Very informative. The walk is around 1.000 meters long. A good combination is to go up the hill with the cable car and than walk downhill to the entrance of the Treetop Walk. You will then finish near the entrance of the cable car. The whole roundtrip takes about 2-3h. For a family the ticket costs 25 €. Highly recommended. Especially with kids.

Fun activity.
May 2018 • Family
We spent a day wandering through the intimate and welcoming town visiting friends and family at many of the different shops and decided to go for a walk on the treetop path. Along the treetop path there are 18 platforms of the approximately 1,000m long path, with nearly 50 different adventure elements, resting stations and interesting facts. Being built in the woods it is also a very peaceful path to walk, explore some of the interactive offerings it provides or just sit at one of the many rest areas and enjoy the day. If you are little nervous of heights this will not be an issue for you, trust me! I can't stand heights but the pathway is wide enough and sturdy enough to provide that reassurance you won't be dropping anytime soon. The view from above is very nice, the path is capable of handling wheelchairs and strollers and there are restrooms within walking distance. You can also continue on the additional hiking trails up hill or take the castle mountain cable car which I conveniently located nearby as well. Cheers!

Nothing special, but better for children

Just a little something to go up to a certain height and have different sights. This is better for children.

Great experience, walking above and amid the treetops

Very informative and educative walk, where much information about forest husbandry and the development of the forestry in the region is explained.

Amazing Place
Sep. 2018 • Couples
We visited in Sept, it was very quiet and therefore more enjoyable, as no queues. We took the cable car to the summit and walked to the tree top walk. There are interactive points along the walk, and information points which can be accessed via an app. Very peaceful, unrushed and fun.

Nice walk
Aug. 2018
Nice walk from a different perspective. The kids (9,11,14) enjoyed it much more than I expected. The little games you find a long the path interested them. Can be combined with the rope park an waterpark near by, for a full fun day.

Definetely come again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit here with our young family. Went on the cable car and walked down the green trail ( 2 km ) to the top end of the tree top walk. Would advise to get a combi ticket at the ticket office near the car park. Be careful if you take the cheeky short cut ( red route 400m) its a 25% downward gradient on loose gravel and shingle, recipe for disaster really. Suck it up and take your time, its safer! Plenty of activities for young and hold, hands on, plus viewing points for grown ups and children. Info boards about local wildlife and fauna, albeit in German but pictures explain the gist. Small kiosk there for a brew or light refreshment. Views are spectacular, easily accesable for all ages and barrier free. Enjoy your trip, we did.

Top attraction for young and old.
Jul. 2018 • Family
Can only concur with the other readers comments really, we did the combi ticket thing with a toddler, 6 year old and a pensioner plus 2 adults. Castle ruins and views were brilliant, can see quite far across the North German plain. Nice little kiosk on the left hand side with very accomadating staff. The trial ( green route ) is 2 km long, cheeky red route is only 400m but 25% gradient and loose gravel! Your choice! The tree top walk is well laid out and very informative, plenty of space for young children, mothers with prams or people with limited mobility. Info boards are relevant to the local wildlife and fauna albeit in German. That said hands on touchy touchy feely feely areas. What more could you ask for. Just enjoy the experience, we did, would highly recommend to others.
