Great views of the city and a good climb to the top (you can take the elevator but why?). One important note about the displays: they are very interesting but are mostly all in German only (the cashier spoke no English either). There is precious little info in any other language. I could kind of deduce what was happening from the graphics and my very rudimentary German but the reason for going was mostly the climb and views. The museum was a whole lot of huh.

Nice view from the top. It is also nice to make photos from the bridge overlooking the tower. A must visit if you're in Lüneburg.

Beautifull view from the top. Impressive that they thought of would be in use for a long time, and after a few years already insufficient..

Very interesting visit. Many facts about water and its waste are shown. The view from the tower is spectacular. Definitely worth a visit.

Learn about how the water comes up and see the city. Lüneburgs place to see the city go, and you will enjoy learning about water on the way up.

There is an entrance fee of $4.50 Euros. You can take an elevator up to the 6th floor and then walk about 20 steps to the open air view. Or can you walk all the steps instead of taking the elevator from the bottom by the entrance. Here everything is in German. There is information about water on the 6th floor. The view from the top is amazing. There are signs on the top floor indicating features of the area i.e. Rathhaus.

Spectacular view and beautiful historical building, but no english information which is quite essential in a museum.

The Wasserturm is a very nice tower, but don't expect much more from it. My rating would have been higher if the price was lower. I don't feel like 4€ are justified for an elevator ride to a roof of a tower, even if you can see Lüneburg from the top. The information about water that you can see going down the stairs, is a pain to read since there is such a dim lightning.
Don't get me wrong, the tower is really beautiful, taken care of, and a nice place to visit, but next time I go to Lüneburg I will not do it again, unless they put a more reasonable price to it.

This place is ridiculously good value for something to do. The view of beautiful Luneburg is unmatchable and the displays on the way up are very interesting. The place is nicely maintained and the service is good. Worth the 4 euros.

From atop the Wasserturm in Lüneburg you'll get a great view/overview of the historic town of Lüneburg. In Addition you'll get a look at some contemporary art and the history of the City inside.
