There is a beach here but contact with the water is probably a mile away due to the mud flat.
The mud flat is a lovely walk but wear wellingtons or shoes that you don't mind getting ruined with the salt.
There's a few seaside cafes and a really nice kids play area here as well.

We weren't blown away by this place, the educational centre was better than the mud flats. But it was nice to see lots of school kids enjoying education out in the real world.

Nice beach attached to stunning miles of mudflats. Great for play in the mud and for walking, not so much for swimming! There are only a few places in the world like this national park. This is a good day trip, if you like walking and taking in the sky, the sea and the sun.

Our friends brought us here and they swear by the place. We had a good time, but if you like clean water or sandy beaches, you WILL be disappointed. If your kids like to dig in the mud or you like to wade in knee-deep water, well, then this place ain't too bad.
Our two year old really enjoyed her mud bath and all the muck came off at the 1 Euro-per-five minute showers. We arrived just after high tide and watched as the "surf" became a large mud flat. If you're looking for Mont St Michel, try France. But for a couple families with younger kids, this place is okay. And there are a couple of playgrounds right on the other side of the boardwalk.

A very interesting place from the beach to the water is about a kilometer away due to the tide. I think only two hours during the day one can get into the water.
There are a lot of restaurants and cafes on the beach itself.

Wonderful beach and mudflat area. After a strenuous tour, we finally had a chance to relax here. The water receded during our stay. It's always an experience.
