Masses of ancient dolls and teddy bears in a 4-floor house
Jul. 2019
"Deutsches Puppen- und Bärenmuseum", especially 'museum' is definitely exaggerated for this 'heap' of old toys and dolls. Indeed, a lot of old toys linger between the old dolls and bears. An ancient, somewhat outlived house has every room on 3 floors stacked with items. There are some efforts made to create a theme, or more or less coherent group of dolls in every room, but without success. The rooms are not accessible, but must be viewed through glass panels in the doorways. Old, weather-stained typewritten pieces of paper try to give some information on numbered items on show, but the numbers do not match the text and not all are present...Maybe you will recognize some items from your childhood but any flea market has the same on show. This undertaking is in desperate need of cleaning up and modernisation. Not worth the income fee of 3,5€ (24 july 2019).

This is a great museum for children of all ages, even the grown up kids! A beautiful stroll through the history of teddy bears and dolls. It's nice that you can take your time and look as long as you like.

Nice place to visit with a child or on your own.Museum is located on 3 floors. Lots of old and new dolls (from eighties or ninties) , bears and other toys. Display is nicely arranged (for example dining room with dolls or bedroom with lots of tedies). There is a shop downstairs as well (you don't have to pay to visit it) with lots of interesting stuff (like big selection of advent calendars in different size and shapes). If i ever go to Sankt Goar again i would definetely visit this place second time.
