I believe this is actually called the photography museum. Although I can't say I have a special interest in cameras or photos, I enjoyed this museum due to the interesting and historic exhibits.

Narrow building, but TALL, they cover a lot of ground -- the history starts on the ground floor, and each floor you go up brings you a little further forward in the story. How did I not know that photography began with scientists?? Of course it did, how else, I just never thought of it that way before. So nostalgic... More

This is a good place for young generations to learn about the history of photography. The museum displays different types of cameras starting from the late 19th century until recent times. There are also some exhibits for young children to interact with and enjoy their time. A must see place when visiting the awesome city of Vevey.

Great place to visit and spend a few hours seeing the entire history of photos and cameras. The entrance deceives you as actually the museum is in two buildings that are connected. They also have some activities for families and children, like creating your own pictures by exposing light onto objects.

This quaint museum is located at a short walk away from the CGN dock. And it houses 4 stories of camera history from the first to the current DSLRs. All in Kodachrome colour. Don't be put back by the size. A great way to spend time.

Not expensive and a very interesting place to spend an hour even if you are not a big camera enthusiast

This place takes you back in time to the beginnings of photography. It would be a great place to take the kids to show them a world before smartphones, iPads, selfies and Facebook posts. I was there with a friend and we both realised how despite the thousands of digital pictures we have taken we never have the time to... More

I would not come to Vevey only for the museum, but if you are anywhere in the area and love photography you will love this museum!

Well situated by the Vevey Marche. Right by the grand parking place. Walkable distance to the train station. Good for friends and family of all ages! A very facebook worthy attraction. Lotsa information and cool camera friendly activity. Theres a big colonial photo outside of the museum with cut outs for your face. A good idea of whats the museum... More

An outstanding speciality museum that presents the history of the development of photography from the earliest days to the modern digital era. Superb exhibits and fascinating coverage of the many diverse facets of this art. Be sure to allow plenty of time to visit this museum, and ask for a free audio guide on arrival. These are very comprehensive indeed... More
