If you want somewhere that is chocolate-box pretty, has snow-sure altitudes (even summer skiing) and a wide choice of places to eat and drink, this is as good as it gets in Switzerland. Excellent.

Some love it, I do prefer the other side, the Wallis region. Saas-Fee is clustered in the end of a valley. Sun shows shortly in town in deep winter. So you have to hunt for a space where you get some sunshine. Not my cup of tea.

The town is very (very !!!) quiet in October but the skiing is really good, in imho better than Zermatt.

Wonderful place to visit both in winter and summer months. Traffic free with beautiful scenery. The lifts are well organised and offer you the opportunity to hike in the mountains on well signposted and safe trails. Visit the Britannia Hut for awesome views.

Great snow, slopes are prepared pretty well. A lot of people, overcrowded in the morning. Some of the transport equipment is very old.

Wow, where to start! Saas Fee is a tiny village at the end of the road. No cars are allowed in the village, transport is taken care of with little electro wagons. Foot traffic takes precedent. There are something like 16 peaks around the village over 4000m, glaciers looking down into the valley and beautiful forests everywhere. The ski resort... More

Saas fee is a lovely village that oozes charm. Old cowsheds mingle with the shops and restaurants all set beneath towering mountains. The walking is fantastic in the summer with clear paths and challenges for all abilities. In the winter snow sports take over and the building of the new Speilboden gondola will certainly improve access to the mountains. If... More

Up on the glacier you can ski all year round and it is truly magical. The valley is almost U-shaped so you can plan the day to optimise your sunshine. The Platjen pistes are broad and fast, and there are others to suit all tastes. The only drawback is the price of tickets to Mittel-Allalin, but there are deals and... More

This ski resort is beautiful and has a wide variety of things to do for all ages and experience levels. This resort does get very busy in peak season and, like any ski resort, there are the typical lines of children ready to take you out. The resort is so unique in many ways but one of the best parts was... More

Compared to another well-known ski resort Whistler in West Canada, SF is a beautifully built village with transitional Swiss chalet and wide varieties of activities for everyone. We came here in September for a hiking trip. During the weekend, there was also an outdoor food festival where all restaurants put tables on the pedestrian way. Many people wear the local... More
