Really beautiful, lots of restaurants, officially its a no car zone but sometimes there is a car driving through but it s not a problem. Love this place especially at night!

Piazza Giuseppe Motta is the center of life in Ascona; the lake, the mountains, the view... The multitude of restaurants and terraces is appealing... As always, thou, the best food is in the adjacent old town, along the cobblestone lanes... Both ways: enjoy the genuine...More

Main street along the lake where one finds hotels and restaurants side by side. One can enjoy a drink or a meal and at the same time enjoy the view of the lake and people watching.

Cafes facing the lake. You can catch the ferries here. Plenty of shops, galleries and restaurants in the alleyways behind.

We caught the end of the Jazz festival. Lovely piazza with bars and restaurants. Live music. Big bands. Gelato. Lots of energy and fun.
