Frogs, tropical plants, and a sloth!

We saw several types of tree frogs, as well as a sloth and many tropical plants and trees. The tour was not very long, maybe 30 minutes.

The "tour" was worth about $5 per person. The owner wanted to charge me $25 per person!!! He saw a couple of tourists from the USA and wanted to charge us $50 to tour his back yard. Are you kidding me? I finally settled on $20 for the both of us which in my opinion wasn't worth it. We got... More

Passionate people who made a paradise for frogs. 17 different species survive here. The night tour is the best when the forgs are active. A daytime tour is also great and you have an opportunity to see very rare frogs. But they will also show a wide variete of plants (like a cinnamon tree with clove leaves), and their traditiinol... The place was open but there was no English speaking guide so they called someone who arrived in few minutes. We did not took the full tour. All we we wanted was... More

Jose and his father were great hosts, sharing their knowledge. It was fabulous to see such colourful frogs and learn about them. To add to that, there were beautiful birds visiting their feeders and we even got to see sloths. An afternoon well spent.

Jose, the host, is extremely passionate about his frogs. Mind you: frogs are "free", not captured. Very knowledgeable. Had dinner from his mom afterwards.

Jose, the owner/operator of this small, family-run attraction is sooo knowledgeable! He has established an environment that attracts all sorts of Costa Rican flora & fauna. A fascinating and enjoyable couple hours. A great place for a family, hands-on experience.

Jose was an excellent guide and host. The place is not the biggest but you can really see a lot. How many of us can say that we have Sloths in our back garden. The birdlife around the place was as good as we have seen on some rainforest walks. And then there were the magical frogs, with Jose's excellent... More
