If you are close to nature this is a place to visit to see some of the best salt marshes in Europe. Frequented by flamingos.

we were staying in Cabo de Gato so it wasn't a huge detour. I wouldn't have been impressed if I came especially to see the flamingos because we only say them from a great distance.

This National Park is way too overrated. The biggest disappointment was the Las Salinas Viewpoint as we couldn't see the flamingos close-up.If you have a one euro coin, and want to watch them through a monocular, then there you go. For us it was not something attractive at all. There are narrow paths that could be used by the tourists/birdwatchers but unfortunately, they were closed down and were restricted areas for the visitors. This place could be turned into a real National/Nature Park if they hired rangers or guards to make sure st***d people and their uneducated kids do not harass the animals.…

Las Salinas is the place, where salt is done from the sea. Here there is a large and big beahc and it is located in Cabo de Gata National Park, in Almeria region, in the south part od Spain. The beach is very beautiful and it is a place, where you can sunbath or bath during all day. Also, it is possible to do some excursions in the surroundings to see nice views of the zone and the place. (See also Lighthouse, Playa de Mónsul, Playa de los Genoveses, Playa las Salinas, Playa Islote del Moro and Casa Miguel Restaurant)…
