When it is windy in the beaches on the East side (Monsul, los Escullos, ...), then come here. Probably you cannot put the umbrella in the sand, but the beach is perfect, long, with very few people even in the middle of August, and the sea is full of fishes!

Playa de las Salinas is a big and large beach located in Cabo de Gata National Park, in Almeria region, in the south part od Spain. The beach is beautiful and it is a place, where you can sunbath or bath during all day. Also, it is possible to do some excursions in the surroundings to see very nice views of the zone and see, where salt is done from the sea. It is recommendable, but not the best one. (See also Lighthouse, Playa de Mónsul, Las Salinas, Playa de los Genoveses, Playa Islote del Moro and Casa Miguel Restaurant)

As you drive from San Miguel de Cabo to the Cabo Lighthouse, the beach runs almost all the way to the end, it is more shingle than golden sand, quite windy and it is not very wide. I would not go out of my way to visit here for the beach alone, but stop and have a look when you are driving past.
