Try walking along to this beach from the town of San Jose. Use the walking Guide Book from the tourist office on the main street. take a picnic and enjoy the scenery from the beach

Nice beach, you can walk along for quite a distance. Fishing boats pulled up on the sand. A short promenade with a couple of bars. Large car park with a lot of motorhomes on it. A bit out of the way but a good pit stop on the way back from the Lighthouse at Cabo.

The beach here at San Miguel is well over 2 Km long and is popular with locals as well as tourists on their way to the lighthouse at Cabo de Gata. Here on the beach you will also find the run down shell of the Torreon de Gata, a look out point once used by the civil guard, also local fishermen leave their boats on the beach here after fishing at night. You can wander along the waters edge or stop for a drink at the bar on the beach. I would not go out of your way to locate this beach, but if you are travelling to the lighthouse at Cabo, then you can't really miss it.
