At the Butterfly Farm you will be escorted by your guide who will lead you through a specially created exhibition area of landscaped gardens. This is the butterflies own lush tropical garden playground! Here you will see hundreds of rare and exotic butterflies fluttering freely around you. The guide will identify different species, point out courtship and mating displays and tell butterfly facts and stories. You can also witness the various stages of the butterfly's life cycle, from butterflies laying their eggs to caterpillars hatching, growing and forming their chrysalis. Ask your guide how to handle the butterflies and caterpillars if you dare! The tour lasts around 15 minutes and you are welcome to stay as long as you like at leisure in the gardens. There is also an extensive selection of butterfly gifts and souvenirs in the shop, or drinks available in the shady cafe. Car parking and rest rooms on site free of charge.

We took an air conditioned bus ride to the farm and loved the tour. Molly was very informative, friendly, and patient with everyone on the tour. She captured our attention with her fun stories and wide information about the butterflies. Her passion was contagious as we were allowed to walk through the enclosed area and take pictures of the butterflies... More

This is a lovely spot to visit. It's a bit pricey but your ticket is good for several days There are optional tours included in the price of admission, available in both English and French. The enclosure houses a wide variety of beautiful butterflies. Relaxing and peaceful!!

We took this tour because we had seen much of the island on previous cruises. It turns out this was probably the best tour of all we had done. The people running it were interesting, informative, and friendly, the wide selection of butterflies in all stages of development were wonderful. A really enjoyable visit!

We went on a shore excursion to the Butterfly farm and had an enjoyable visit there, made more so by the obvious enthusiasm of the young lady guide. We were impressed by her knowledge of the subject which she imparted in such a charming manner. We were not rushed in any way relaxed in the lovely surroundings. The complementary rum... More

Our visit to the butterfly farm was part of an excursion we did with Princess Cruises. I loved it! Our guide, Pete, was delightful! He told us the story of how the farm began, its history with hurricanes, the life cycle of butterflies, and how we can encourage butterflies to not only feed, but, more importantly, breed in our own... We have been to other butterfly conservatories in the past, including the one at the NY Museum of Natural History. Our experience at the Butterfly Farm was far superior to those experiences! The staff is incredibly knowledgable and the interaction between staff and clients was fantastic. We learned so much about the butterflies and the experience cannot be said to... More

My wife really wanted to go here, not really my thing but it's a decent place. You'll see lots of different butterflies and maybe even get some to land on you. I always feel that in addition to what you can see, a tour can be a lot better if you are provided a lot of information, and the young... More

This place is so cool! I love butterflies, so I had to make a visit! Easy to find and reasonably priced attraction, plus you can come back for free within so many days. Such a nice variety of butterflies and they give you a small tour with educational information. They even had many cocoons there to view and if you're... More

We have visited St martin at least 10 times and have made it a point to go here twice. It is fun, relaxing and a worthwhile part of any extended trip to the island. The staff is nice and butterflies are beautiful.
