We were in St. Maarten on a cruise & wanted to go to a quiet beach for our day in port & this beach was suggested to us by our Taxi Driver. What a find!! This place is great!! Nice, calm water because it is in a protected area but has an area farther out where the waves crash &... More

Visited this beach for 1 day on a cruise with 13 people in our group ages 5 to 52. Beautiful beach that serves food/drinks. Pina Coladas are delicious. Volleyball courts nearby. It was windy the day we went and it was not a great day to snorkel but our taxi driver recommended this beach for snorkeling out of all the... More

If you want to get away from Oriental Beach hustle and bustle, this is your stop. Quiet out of the way beach where you can just relax. There is a nifty little restaurant there with fresh fish sandwiches, creole dishes and oxtail stew. Just a good place to pop a Caribe or President beer and watch the waves crash.

This place is very low-key. It has only one beach bar/restaurant. It's sheltered due to it being on a bay. There isn't much surf and the water was quite warm. If you want to get away from the busier beaches, I recommend this one. Because the traffic is low, the restaurant closes earlier than most others. We came here after... More

This is a good beach for children. The water is clear and the sand is white. There are areas with lots of seaweed but more away from the main beach. Tripical Waves serves food to keep kids happy at a very reasonable price. Chairs for rent 5euros. Don't stray too far, weirdos are everywhere doing stuff you don't want to... More

We have a five year old so this is one of our favorite beaches normally. However, our week in St Maarten this year was met with a storm that made most of the beaches rough. On a Monday we headed over to LeGalion via cab. Our side of the island was threatening rain and terribly windy. We arrived at LeGalion... More

December was windy and while all the beaches on the island are beautiful, Le Galion was so much more calm. We were able to snorkel in the shallow waters. Great!

Spent a great afternoon at Le Galion. The beach is very sheltered so great for little kids. A beach bar there if you want food or beverages. Prices 10-14$ for lunch platters. 5$ ea. for beach chairs and umbrellas. The chairs and umbrellas were gone by noon so come earlier or come after 2 pm, as many chairs had opened... More

I live here, and this is my favorite beach. You can find better sand elsewhere, but if you want water sports or a safe beach for kids, come here. The surf board and paddle board rentals are the cheapest I've found so far, and taking the boat out to the waves for surfing is a blast. Also, the chairs and... More

This beach is beautiful to visit while in St. Maarten especially if you have small children. The waters are shallow for a long time and the children will thoroughly enjoy wading in the water and swimming to a little barge in the water. There are plently of water kayaks and paddle boards for rent. You have to pay a small... More
