The place is quite hard to get to. From T'boli alone, you need to ride a risky motorcycle for an hour to reach the starting point of the hike. That ride was already exciting enough, especially if you guys decide to do it with three people on one motorcycle, plus the driver. I definitely think it was not completely safe.... More

Great for all outdoor enthusiasts, backpackers, mountaineers, trail runners or just a seasoned climber. Lake Holon, as I describe it, is truly a Paradise. You can take two trails, Salacafe Trail and Kule Trail. This place is really really a must-visit for all tourists in Soccsksargen (SOX). You can experience a fusion of outdoor and cultural immersion in one. Lake... More

We included Lake Holon in our itinerary since this is tagged as the most cleanest lake in the Philippines. You must need to climb at least 4,000 masl before you see its beauty. Its camping site has a cooking area, washing area and CR with water so you take a bath after the hours-long trekking and dipping at Holon Lake.

The hike is easy (if you have even a modest experience in hiking) and not dangerous at all. The receiving/registration area provides the following: -Parking area for vehicles -wooden trekking pole (for rent for P25. Proceeds go to... More

From Davao City, it took me and my travel buddy five hours to arrive at T' boli Sitio Salacafe. We registered at the tourism office and get on habal-habal (motorbike). It took another two hours to arrive at the start of the trek going to the lake. From there, we got our tour guide and porter. It took me one... More
