I love this secluded beach as its very calm, always protected and there isn't any waves, so its perfect for kids! It's shallow and easy to get to, with parking up the top of the beach area. Perfect spot to tan, chill, and relax and...More

My impression of Mettam's Pool from reading reviews was completely different to what I experienced - there are signposts that the pool has submerged rocks and strong currents, and is a very small beach. Narrow and not deep in relation to sand on the beach....More

Great spot for a swim, shelter from the pounding surf, so you can swim and not get dragged out in a rip. Very safe for little kids to swim supervised of course. Take your goggles and have a look for fish that live in the...More

Mettam's Pool is great for casual swimming, easy snorkelling, or serious snorkelling if you want to get into deeper water. The stone formations, plants and fish are stunning. When there, try to take care of the limestone -- both to preserve the stone and for...More

Mettam's pool is a beach great for snorkeling and not too far out from Perth city. It can get reasonably crowded at times and on a windy day becomes difficult, but the fish and plant life you see below the surface of the water makes...More

Found this place via reading through tripadvisor. The frequenters are right -- great place to snorkel and swim. Saw lots of fishes even close to the beach. Check the tides before you go as it can get very shallow at low tide.

Snorkelling is fantastic and very protected for young and old, it's like your own swimming pool beach.

Hillary's Marina is not far and the Rottnest Fast Ferrys terminal may rent snorkel equipment.
