Water was a bit cold even in late spring, but this did not deter us from plunging into the waters. Were not disappointed. Not 5 m from shore, we spotted coral and schools of fish. Good to wear full diving suit as some parts of rocks are rough and could cut. Protect feet too. Be careful where you step as... More

Family friendly and nice little spot to do a bit of basic snorkelling. It can get a little over crowded in summer though.

Beautiful snorkelling here, fish everywhere, only a few metres from shore. Caves further out that can be free dived through, there's always groups of teenagers there in summer so you can work out where they are. Most of the year its a calm protected beach. Grab a coffee from Soda or better still Yelo where the coffee never disappoints. Good... More

Brilliant! If you are a parent of young kids, this place is a must-visit. Reason being - there is a little shallow pool area where kids can paddle and see small tadpoles and even the occasional starfish! It is connected to Trigg beach and if you are a keen fisherman, you may want to try fishing of the rocks here... More

Mettams pool (we used to call Grannys pool) is fantastic for families, especially kids or older people, there is a ramp to walk down and the swimming area is protected by a reef, so its like a huge pool, there are also spots to get out of the sun if you need to.... very safe

Mettams is just North of Trigg Point and has a lagoon that is protected from the swell and as such is safe for kids and older people. For more adventurous try snorkelling out the back of the reef where there are hundeds of fish and some natural arches and reefs.

This is a natural pool protected by the reef which is a great place to snorkel or dive or even just swim around.

A great number of fish generally congregate in the pool and even when the weather is rough you can still see well enough to chase them around. On a still day this spot is spectacular with good visibility around the reef and you can observe all kinds of marine life. A sheltered spot that is good for kids. Beware the... More

Had a fabulous afternoon snorkeling here. You would never guess the underwater world from standing on the beach. Saw so many fish and a crayfish. Beautiful. Make sure it's a calm clear day to maximize the visibility underwater.
