This botanical garden is small but well laid out and well located. Just within the city ancient wall overlooking the sea, the garden is well stocked and peaceful to spend a few hours roaming around. It is free to enter and you can leave a donation in cash or via cell phone.

No big surprises from a botanical perspective, but this garden--which gives the impression of being not that old--is laid out beautifully and is a lovely spot to stroll or sit and read.

I visited the DBW botanical garden this spring for photographing flowers and birds. This garden is free, and you can open the door by yourself. The garden include an old ruin. For the first time I saw blue flower of Rhododendron in this garden. I could get photographs of Rhododendron Blue Tit (Lapponicum-Alpros), Caltha palustris (Kabbleka), Carduelis chloris (Greenfinch), Carduelis... More

Still end of September and still a lot of beautiful flowers and plants. A place to relax and calm down.

Situated between the sea and the old town Visby Botanical garden is a must see. Here you will find a variety of beautiful flowers, trees and plants. It is above all a very quiet place where you can sit and relax. It is for free.

Part of original Visby. Here you can just wander around away from tourists. And the plants are wonderful too.
