As all have said, this is a reproduction although a very high quality reproduction. If you want to see some original art in a real cave there are other locations to do that in this part of France. Some are real close and others some...More

We visited the Dordogne with the purpose of seeing the prehistoric caves and enjoying the wines. Our morning spent here at Lascaux 4 was perfect. The reconstruction of the original Lascaux caves which are limited to research and preservation is amazing. The accompanying exhibits enhance...More

Having spent the week visiting cave sites in the Dordogne area, we were excited to see one more before we traveled on to Spain. Unfortuantely, we didn't save the best for last as planned. Lascaux IV is truly an amazing reproduction, but the messaging, including...More

Thank you for your review. The guide adapts his speech to his audience. Maybe there were a lot of kids in your group.

There is only one tour a day with an english speaking guide. The tablet can be setup in english but it does’nt translate the speaking of the guide. It serves another purpose: To inform you further in the room for self-exploring. Unfortunally the guide did’nt...More

Thank you for your review. Usually, we plan several english tour per day. We recommend to book your ticket online. We are surprised to hear that the guide didn't pay attention to the person in a wheelchair. Guides are instructed to place people with disabilities...More

First of all the signs are inadequate to find the parking spots, especially for handicapped persons. Upon departure we find we could have parked in the spots allocated for buses, closer to the entrance. Alas, too late. I have visited Lascaux II years ago and...More

This is a reproduction of the original cave and we were a bit reluctant to go as my husband had seen the original cave a few months before it closed. However, it was well worth the visit - one of the highlights of our trip...More

Last year we went to the incredible reproduction of the Chauvet Cave and I didn't think Lascaux IV would be anywhere near as amazing. But I was wrong. They have done an incredible job reproducing the original Lascaux cave in its entirety, with all the...More

We had an amazing English tour with Annick. We know it’s a reproduction but it is done so well, and the headset and guide after the cave further increased our knowledge and respect for the cave. 1.5 hrs went by extremely fast.

This has been so well thought through, in construction, presentation, logistics. So well delivered with the tour guides, the exhibits, the (weird and psychedelic) film shows, the technology. The experience, is not to be missed, the only part I didn't like was the modern art...More

You have to take the tour and note, you don’t actually see the original art or cave, it’s a man made one matching exactly the original. Well worth the visit though.
