Definitely recommend combining tickets so you can really make a day of it as we worked it out for 2 adults to do the train and aquarium. It would of cost nearer £20 each without food but combined tickets to both was just over £20...More

The views are fantastic but let down by the slow run down rail journey. The carriages are dilapidated and in need of urgent refurbishment

We had a couple of hours to kill and popped in for a return trip on a horrid day from Haverthwaite to lakeside. I can see that the full monty rail plus Windermere steamer option would be a good day out but the latter was...More

Reasonably priced 1 hour steam train journey. You can get off at the stop and walk around the town and return to the original station later.

Not the warmest day. But who needs sunshine? Great day out taking the steam train to Lakeside then the boat across Windemere. Don't forget to stop in the station cafe when you get back for the delicious scones

We travelled from the lake to Haverthwaite station it only takes about 20 mins but lovely scenery and the guard tells you about the railway line. We got the same train straight back it would of been about an hour to wait for the train...More
