Haven't been here for many years, but pleased to see a good car park and some toilets and even more pleased to see that the beach hasn't been spoiled by commercialisation. What we wanted was a good, clean, shingle beach where we could swim with...More

Drove quite a long way and wished we had not bothered. Feel the sight could have been better organised. Maybe with more helpful staff. For such a historical place I would have expected more from English heritage.

The castle is well worth a visit. Lots of information about the castle through the centuries, and beautiful views from the roof. A gem of history preserved very well. Staff were friendly and helpful.
