I am primarily a rescue with some horses donated by their owners due to lack of space or time. I have a simple, yet safe facility for all concerned. We're surrounded by beautiful scenery always with a cool tropical breeze. We welcome riders from 6 years old on up and match riders to the appropriate mount providing instruction as needed. Soon come, daily fun with the donkeys!

You need to call ahead to reserve your place on a tour ride, but be forewarned, there may still be issues. We called for reservations, & booked an 1.5 hr riding tour (sale price of $65 each), at 4pm... * Try not to arrive early, as this seems to really upsets, Dana, the proprietor. If you're taking the public bus... More

Thanks for taking time to write about my unique collection of animals. I belive you rode in the off season at a discounted price? A time when it's not possible to afford the help I now have. I do wish everything had gone smoother, although I have to differ with you on the cleanliness of my animals and facility as... More

We wanted to do something different on St John, and a little bit of horse riding sounded like a perfect change from beaches. Based on Coral Bay, on the east of the island, Carolina Corral, is a change of pace, a change of scenery and a change of atmosphere: this is a labor of love run by one woman, Dana,... More

Thanks for your enthusiasm for my efforts to create a special time with the animals on St. John. I feel no matter what is going on in the world or elsewhere on the island, the corral remains the same with the animals therein. I do have an friendly trio of dogs to greet every visitor, but donkeys, horses, sheep and... More

Booked a morning ride for our family of four and enjoyed walking the horses through the water and up the mountain. All of the horses are well cared for and each one of us was matched well with our horses. It was a great way to see and explore Coral Bay. Will definitely return on our next trip.

We (couple in 40's) booked the hour morning ride with and got the pleasure to go it alone with the owner Dana. She's AWESOME! Very chatty and easy to get along with. The horses are well cared for and very we behaved. I got to ride Lucas and was impressed at what a great horse he was...no problems with either... More

Booked an afternoon ride with my two daughters, Kate 10 and Gracie 8. Talked with Dana on the phone and headed out. I pulled into the corral which looked more like a farm. She met us at the gate and we parked inside. Dana is a down to earth Midwesterner with a heart for apparently abandoned animals running a one... More

My husband and I came to St John for our honeymoon and wanted to ride. I am experienced and he is a beginner, and Dana paired us up perfectly with appropriate horses (he had EZ and I had Princess). The ride itself was wonderful...up a hill to a beautiful vista and back down, to a field to trot/canter some (I... More

Thanks Kathryn and hubby for riding and coming back the next day to help, staying to see us out the gate even though this was your last day on island. It was a nice feeling knowing you could sense I give these guys everything I have with limited resources and very low budget. Horses, donkeys, sheep, goat, dogs, cats, chickens... More

While I don't think I'd opt to go back, this was a nice diversion, & it felt good knowing you had helped to support the owner's horse & donkey rescue. She also has a goat, 3-legged sheep, & loads of chickens & chicks. We had plenty of time to see all the animals as she started about a half hour... More

I'm glad you made the trip out. I know I need to work on getting on the road sooner in the morning knowing it takes an hour and half just to feed then saddle. Most days are between 12 and 16 hours in an effort to get everything done. I work this alone with little reliable help this late in... More

The ride itself was amazing: intimate group, option to do different routes, great views. Both my sister and I have ridden before and did the "harder" route where you go up the hills to get at a great view. It was shady and really fun to climb up on the horses. Even though it's the harder route don't let that... More

Thanks for riding and reviewing. I prefer the more challenging route because it's more shady with less time on the road getting to our easier route, (although it is fun to ride through town like cowboys). Folks have to be confident with their riding ability, ( or lack of) and not be overly worried about being on the side of... More

Not fancy at all, but well cared for horses. Two novices and two experienced riders on a easy one hour ride. Great view on top looking out off St. John's to the sea. Rode down to the bay and saw baby sharks in the water. Dana was a nice guide with some interesting notes. Rode mostly rocky roads. Bring sunscreen... More

Heh there! I remember the baby sharks and a baby Barracuda. Another day I saw a baby Needle Nose, pretty cute. Coral Harbour is a nursery for a variety of fish and sea life with it's sea grass and mangroves. We'd like to see it stay that way for generation's to come! More
