This place is magnificent, one of God's beautiful creation indeed. The beach was shallow and clear and all of a sudden the blue part reaches down the ocean floor. Amazing!

We went to Long Island really for the blue hole. We headed to the blue hole to snorkel around 11. There were more people at the hole than I had seen on the island the entire time. I spent about 45minutes snorkeling. I saw about...More

It was a very rough road getting to the beach, but it is in a beautiful inlet with sparkling turquoise water. There is a platform in the water over the hole where the free divers descend. There wasn't a sole there and it was very...More

Went here and actually met deep divers. They were practicing for the upcoming competition at the end of the month. Very beautiful!

Amazing place for swimming, on a stunning semi-circlular beach, good snorkelling around the perimiter of the hole

We stayed near Clarence Town for several weeks so we visited the Blue Hole several times. There is plenty of beach beyond the hole to walk on, clear shallow water to play in, the blue hole to swim in and over, hike up the rocks...More

I was curious to see what people were saying about Dean's Blue Hole now since I experienced this back in 2001. Sounds like there's been no real change over the years since it's off the "beaten path" of tourism. My friend and I were the...More

I see another reviewer describes this sight as "subtle." That may be an understatement -- one sign on the main road, no concessions. When we visited, the beach was clean and welcoming. The water is so clear that, just standing in ankle deep water many...More

Have visited Dean's numerous times and advertising is extremely scarce and seeing more than ten people at one time is rare. There are no concessions and the gorgeous white sand surround is kept amazingly well groomed.

Not a great place to hang out. The only place I would call "crowded" on the island. Lots of trash strewn about. If you don't dive it's really nothing special.

It is 150 miles from Nassau, so it would use a lot of fuel. Cheaper to fly there and explore Long Island. Check out Bahama Dreamin for somewhere to stay.
