About
The Zambartas story is one of following a dream and the pursuit of a deeply held passion for wine. In 2006, Akis Zambartas established the family winery in the Krasochoria Wine Region of Cyprus. Gifted with enormous passion and a long experience in winemaking, he challenged the established wisdom by focusing on making world class Cypriot wines. The story took off further when Marcos decided to pursue his father as a winemaker and went on to study winemaking in Australia. He came back in 2008, with great dedication and new knowledge. Since then Zambartas has collected some of the most prestigious industry awards and we are delighted that people enjoy our wines all over Cyprus and beyond. We welcome visitors to the winery, which is located in Agios Amvrosios in the Krasochoria Lemesou (Wine villages of Limassol), all year around during week days and weekends!

Visited this winery in our way around Limassol wine district. They had very good wines from the region, staff was very service minded and made a nice presentation. We tased 4 different wines, rosè and white and some red wine. The Cyprus grapes are really good.

Today we visited the Zambartas Winery where we were hosted by Adriana. This was our first winery visit in Cyprus and it was very enjoyable. Adriana was incredibly friendly and she went through the tasting of five wines whilst explaining how that wine was made and the history of the business. The wines were excellent and many laughs were had with our fantastic host.

We will be returning to Zambartas Winery whilst we are in Cyprus. This was an excellent daytime activity.

The place has a very nice ambience, it is nicely decorated and perfect place to enjoy and learn more about wine. While you enjoy your wine you can also relax by the beautiful mountain view. People are very friendly and the wine tour was really interesting.
Highly recommended!!

Located on the route to platres going up the troodos mountains.

This winery is a modern building more like someone’s house at first glance. The new modern seating area has heat views or the mountains.

Not best tasting wine, but the do have a few good wines.

Great to visit cost 10€ per person with bread hallumi cheese and coffees after tasting.

Tour is around 1-2 hours in duration.

Good local tourism!

We had a relaxing and informative tour.
The variety of wines was just right. Also pairing up Cypriot food to go with them was perfect.Thank you Natalia for looking after us.

There are so many vineyards in the area, it was difficult to choose one that was easy to get to but also good quality.

We chose Zambartas having seen a review online.

It’s a very small winery, almost like an apartment with a beautiful glass balcony.
The team there are so friendly, we turned up and were asked to choose our tasting (either the free tasting, or 10 Euro tasting which included a tour). We chose the 10 Euro tour and tasting. We were shown the process of making wine, how it’s stored etc. Whilst we were there truckloads of grapes were being delivered as they were nearing the end of the harvest.
We then sat on the balcony and enjoyed some of their wine with some local Rusks, Olive oil and Halloumi.

A nice stop if you’re going deeper into the Troodos Mountains and not too many precarious roads to navigate to get there!

Visited Winery September 13, 2018.

It was all-around nice and good , thanx to hostess Adriana and 10 € tour which included small historic lecture, wine-making introduction (the experience supposedly depends on season you are visiting, it was juice-extracting procedures), wine testing on 5 bottles, the testing area is renovated, can be best available in Cyprus.

As for the testing: the common/single-vineyard grades of wine produced by Zambartas shows real difference. Shiraz worth separate mentioning (pictured).
