Consistently ranked as the #1 golf course in Hawaii, playing The Plantation Course is sure to be on every golfer's bucket list. Designed by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore, the course was designed on a grand scale in keeping with its location on the slopes of the West Maui Mountains and offers dramatic ocean views from virtually every hole. Its lengthy 7,411 yard par 73 layout challenges the pros but it's wide fairways and generous greens make it very playable for the average golfer. With dramatic elevation changes, this course offers plenty of downhill tee shots. You'll feel like one of the pros when - with the aid of the aggressive slope of the 18th fairway - you will enjoy hitting one of the longest drives of your life. The Plantation Course is the site of the PGA TOUR Hyundai Tournament of Champions each January featuring an elite field of previous year's PGA TOUR winners.

This course has the greatest views of any golf course probably in the entire world. It is an experience you can't forget and must do if you're a golfer and visiting Maui. I can't wait to go back some day and try to put less than 40 times! The giant greens slope on every hole as the greens are basically... More

This was the second of the top three courses on my list for this trip and it did not disappoint! Very helpful staff in the pro shop and especially in the cart/starter area. The views at the course are amazing and the course is everything you think it might be. This was especially true today with the wind blowing a... More

This is a picturesque golf course with views that no other golf course will have. The course was in excellent condition. This is definitely a place to play or just ride and be the caddie

Top notch well maintained course with excellent friendly staff. I played this course twice in two days. The first time through is learning to read the greens which are large and undulating. Fairways often slope and there are several blind holes and there are natural canyons but no water to worry about. I am an average golfer and this course... More

First time playing this course. Would recommend playing with a caddie or someone who has played before. Fairways slope is not intuitive on most holes, if out of fairway don't bother looking for your shot! Also, several blind tee shots add to the challenge. Perfectly groomed course. Great traps! Heavy rain for about 30 minutes in the afternoon but we... More

I played this course constantly distracted. The views are amazing in almost every direction. I love the room off the tee, it makes the course playable with the wind and wow was there wind. It has some extraordinary challenge on some holes, par 3 over the canyon for one with a wicked cross hurting breeze but it was so enjoyable!... More

Beautiful course with panoramic views. The staff at the clubhouse was excellent, friendly and helpful. The clubhouse had a large selection of merchandise. Definitely worth the price for the round. I wasn't planning to play the course because they had it closed for aeration but it opened on the last day we were in Maui. Despite the aeration sand and... More

Difficult but beautiful course. Wide fairways and large greens- that's the easy part. Some very long holes and sloping fairways. Day I was there very windy.
