Consistently ranked as the #1 golf course in Hawaii, playing The Plantation Course is sure to be on every golfer's bucket list. Designed by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore, the course was designed on a grand scale in keeping with its location on the slopes of the West Maui Mountains and offers dramatic ocean views from virtually every hole. Its lengthy 7,411 yard par 73 layout challenges the pros but it's wide fairways and generous greens make it very playable for the average golfer. With dramatic elevation changes, this course offers plenty of downhill tee shots. You'll feel like one of the pros when - with the aid of the aggressive slope of the 18th fairway - you will enjoy hitting one of the longest drives of your life. The Plantation Course is the site of the PGA TOUR Hyundai Tournament of Champions each January featuring an elite field of previous year's PGA TOUR winners.

Even though Maui has received quite a bit of rain recently the course was in very good condition. The staff (from the pro shop/starter/bag handling/on course cart service) were all top notch. We enjoyed the day very much and can not wait to get back...More

You get to play where the pros play. Some spectacular views of the ocean from 80% of the holes. Winds make holes tough but interesting Hard to pick a signature hole as so many are great

I loved it.. But I love any unique golf experience. My wife wasn't into it. Couple things: We had the first tee time of the day, and two groups of local members paid their way into teeing off before us and bumping us 20 min...More

If you want to golf in Maui, there are many other options. The Plantation course was beat up. The greens were in ridiculously bad shape. Not sure what happened. The cart GPS didn’t work. Changed carts. That didn’t work. The couple we played with, theirs...More

Beautiful views, amazing course. It’s a lot of fun to play where the pros play. Staff is top notch. Clubhouse is beautiful. Teeing off with whales breaching in the background is really an experience. 100% recommended.

We played this course the week before the PGA tournament. It is definitely challenging and I’d recommend bringing extra balls! It is a hilly course and the wind was whipping. It was cart path only so we definitely got a workout. It was a nice...More

The only way to understand what the pros are facing on the Plantation Course at Kapalua, is to play it. Played just after the Tournament of Champions and the course was beautiful. People were great, First Class experience.

Caught a break in the weather and managed to get in 27 holes. Gorgeous course that’s a lot of fun to play. It is not a hard course. I landed in one bunker and lost about a half-dozen balls. The green speeds are the toughest...More
