I have been here few times, more recently to train for a 100km walk. So we walked around the reservoir twice. (18.5miles). Proved very useful and helpful for our longer walk due at the end of May 2017

Pleasant walks along the water's edge and a nature reserve make this venue worth a visit. The car park we found was tiny but free, accessed from a very narrow lane. People do bbq by the water but they litter badly also in the main...More

Went on Saturday 8th April , not a cloud in the sky and we decided on a bike ride. We set off from the car park in a clockwise direction , good choice. The route around the reservoir is nearly 10 miles and there are...More

Very nice lake, with a well maintained, half-tarmac, half-dirt, half-asphalt road (suitable for walking, jogging, mountain bikes and hybrid bikes) that is a bit over 10 miles long. Many parking lots around the lake (although parking fee is a bit steep at most parking lots),...More

My wife and I visited Grafham Water Centre on Sunday 26th March 2017. We love walking so for our first real venture out of 2017 we chose to walk around Grafham Water, as the 10 mile trek seemed ideal for us. It cost us £3...More

Hi I'm planning a special family birthday party in mid May and would like to bring 20 people 5 years to 73 years of age to Grafham Water for party of walks and games etc. We would like a bar b que picnic and wondered if that was possible to do this near the centre.

There is plenty of space near to the centre so shouldn't be a problem.

All the car parks have barriers that stop caravans parking there so I am guessing that you will not be able to park your motorhome. Saying that I am sure you will find somewhere to park if you go around the lake and look... More

My husband is participating in a fishing competition for 5 hours at Grafham. Is it safe for me to hang around there alone? I was thinking of hiring a bike and doing a few laps around the lake as I love cycling and I am fit. Many thanks

It's a family destination - popular with mums and dads, and dog walkers. Bike hire place is brilliant, and I'd say the best way of going round the reservoir. Failing that - the coffee shop does great sausage rolls - so you... More
