Another one of those Welsh castles that has plenty left. This one has a chequered history that is well worth researching, and standing on the banks of the estuary, it is strong and proud.

This is the location that gave Dylan Thomas much of his poetic inspiration. Well worth the effort of stopping for a visit. Very informative and welcoming staff. Make the effort and pop in here.

Visited here as a family as CADW members, really enjoyed our visit having never visited the castle before. Lovely gardens and views. No toilets on the site however

I have reread my review of Laugharne Castle and I did not say it was free entrance to the Castle , you must be mixing me up with someone else , E P Adams
