This is a look into the way linen was produced before chemicals reared their ugly heads. The staff (all volunteers) is knowledgeable and friendly. They are obviously proud of their old mill and take pains to make sure that visitors understand what went on here. The grounds are spectacular, too, and very peaceful now that beetling isn't going on 20... More

Beautiful walk great for reflecting. Great to see the beetling mill work and hear the history. Must try the water out of the spring so clear and fresh. The walk is always open the mill has limited opening hours.

This was a nice unexpected surprise. We stopped because it looked neat from the road but as we walked along the river it was simply beautiful! A must see if you are in the area. The Mill was not opened at the time we arrived so no inside view. The grounds were not block off and open to the public.

If you are a National Trust member or not, this site is an absolute must. It is not very big but it is packed with history and is fully functional. The tour guides are exceptionally knowledgeable which nakes for a great experience and educational for all. The surounding area is also noce and has some short river walks.

Wonderful mill, the last working beetling mill in Northern Ireland. We had an excellent tour from Zachary who is a highly enthusiastic guide who loves the place. All the equipment is in working order and he fired it up for us. What an experience! The power of the wheel and the noise of the beetles pounding the roll of linen... More

This is one of the most interesting National Trust properties that I have ever visited and I learnt so much in a one hour visit, from how flax is cultivated all the way through to how it is turned into linen and also how much of a role the industry had in the history of Northern Ireland. The property is... More
