The Causeway Coastal Route is a designated scenic tourist drive around the coast of Northern Ireland between the cities of Belfast and Londonderry. The route follows the coast and takes you to several major tourist attractions along the way including The Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, Dunluce Castle, The Old Bushmills Whiskey Distillery and the Glens of Antrim. There are also nine scenic loop roads that run off the main Coastal Route. These are: Islandmagee, Slemish Mountain, Glenariff, Glendun, Torr Road, Glenshesk, Bann Valley, Binevenagh Mountain and the Roe Vally. One of these (Torr Scenic Road)is quite narrow so do be careful if your not used to our small roads, one tip is to pull in your wing mirrors on the Torr Road.

You can see the sea easier here and have more places to stop. Glenarm and Carnlough are a must as is Glenariff and Cusdendall and cushendun. Turn right at a tower and you will see a better road.

We drove back and forth along this coastal route several time during our stay. It is easy to drive, well-marked, and offers gorgeous views of farmland and the sea.

Good drive and views ect, better if your not driving yourself to take it all in, lots of decent stops and attractions along the way. Takes in a few good towns and villages which are nice to see, take it at your leisure.

Gorgeous scenery! And we were fortunate enough to make the trip on a warm, sunny day-although I'm sure it would have been just as beautiful in the rain!

The route was well sign posted and easy to follow. There were plenty of places to stop and get out of the car and investigate on foot Well worth doing to see more of the coast

We road tripped around Northern Ireland & Ireland for 10 days as part of our Honeymoon and I think my husband & I both agree the parts when we were on the Causeway Coastal Route was our favorite part of the trip!
