We walked from Bridge Street out to the Lock. Beautiful scenery, nice level walk, birds singing, and friendly fellow travelers. The Lock itself is quaint, the blacksmith shop interesting with not too much happening. Don't expect a big show but the site is quite historic. Lots of opportunities for pictures, lots of different birds. A great place to stretch your... More

This is a great place to go if you are out for a walk. You can visit moneypennys lock which has been all refurbished some time ago. You can visit the museum.

Superb little hidden gem, we cycled from tesco in Portadown and it was a lovely place to stop on the way steeped in history. If your in the area it's well worth a stop.

Walk along the towpath often from portadown past moneypenny lockhouse. Quaint gatekeepers house and a small museum of local history. Should become more popular how they have put the gates back on the lock.

Very disappointed at the condition of the pathways. I was here years ago and can't believe how everything is overgrown. I appreciate the work of the volunteers doing excellent work to maintain and restore this unique off beat track.

If you're looking for a perfect Sunday afternoon stroll coupled with a touch of old school history then Moneypenny's is a great choice for all the family. I love taking my dog for a walk along the canal down to the lock itself and reading the material about how it all worked way back when. It's such a picturesque little... More
