After being told about the Museum we decided to visit. Have to say somewhat disappointed not a lot to see or do. Needs some more things adding The staff were cheerful .

Close to railway station and displaying many facts about George Stephenson who in later life lived at Tapton and is buried in Chesterfield.

Kids day out to check out the museum and also see the animals that were taken there from a farm specialising in teaching children how to keep animals as pets and what not to keep as pets. Very informative and pleasant and friendly staff.

We went in here as part of the self guided walk round Chesterfield and its a fascinating little place - well worth half an hour or so! And it's free!
