A welcoming pub with free hi-speed wifi. Live acts and bands most weekends and of the course the fantastic Grousefest every year on August Bank Holiday Sunday. We have at least 3 cask ales on tap at all times including our special Grousefest Ale at only £2.20 a pint. We also have a large range of keg beers, lagers and ciders all at great prices all day every day. For those sunny days we have a large beer garden at the rear of the pub. Well behaved dogs are welcome in this pub.

This pub is actually inside the Peak District National Park. We hiked a mile or so, just because we wanted to. Most other people drive or hikes, but they are accommodating to cyclists, as well. Food - portions were plentiful for each of the four...More

Don't agree with previous reviews at all, certainly isn't an amazing pub with average bands and average everything else. More fun at home!

Love this place, it has all the major sports on and live music on at weekends. Everyone is friendly and it's nice to see a proper pub that's still thriving. A boozer with a cracking atmosphere.

What an excellent pub. Extremly friendly staff and landlady, along with fantastic beer. This local establishment offers amazing entertainment at a weekend, with live bands on a Saturday which I have now made my regular place to visit on a weekend to enjoy. This pub...More
