Spent an entire day here and were not disappointed. Arrived soon after the doors opened but immediately went to book a time slot for the buggy ride around the gardens as had slightly lame OAP with us. Once we had booked our slot we then went off into the house. Wonderful friendly and informative staff, excellent exhibition on at the... More

We visited Chatsworth for the first time and were amazed by the size of the place. We had booked tickets online in advance which meant we parked for free (otherwise would be £4 per car) we went straight into the house which was fascinating to walk around, there were guides in most rooms ready to answer any questions and direct... Went for the first time a few weeks ago, lovely grounds and inside the house. Went on the stationary talk which was nice for a intro into the houses history. The 5 centuries of fashion exhibit was very well put together. Didn't like tho how I was certain visitors were allowed to wear backpacks and others were not. The staff... More

A real jewel tucked away in the heart of England, this place is simply beautiful although parts are covered in scaffolding due to huge renovations that main house and gardens are just stunning. The restaurant and food is simply spectacular and fairly inexpensive but what made our visit special was the friendliness of the staff and volunteers who went above... More

( I thoroughly recommend ).We bought a family ticket and despite only having time to visit the house, and it was December !, we got a complete ticket, which although a little extra... More

The house and grounds are stunning and well worth a visit if you are in the peak district. The features and architecture, both inside and out are exceptional. The only drawback I found is that they have a clothes through the ages exhibition, within the house and you are drawn to this rather than the fine interior details. Chatsworth should... More

We spent the day taking in the beautiful views over the Derbyshire country side and you can only imagine how life must have been all those years ago living on an estate of this size. The gardens are beautifully kept but do make sure you cover the areas towards to top end which have some beautiful photo opportunities when the... More
