Our hotel room (Harbour View) overlooked Lavender Bay and this garden appeared to be little more than a row of trees. After reading about it online we decided to investigate. So glad we did ! It’s a work of art. The effort to transform this...More
Wendy Whiteley's Secret Garden is my favourite place in Sydney. It is so beautiful and calm, and absolutely free. It's only a 10-15 minute walk from the Bridge, or if you're driving there's streets you could park down. There are lots of seats and tables,...More

Came across this place looking at North Sydney foreshore walks. If you know the history, the work Wendy Whitely and her team have achieved is unbelievable. Possibly not a garden for those a bit unsure of their step, a lot of the paths are reasonably...More
It is hard to believe you can find such a beautifully maintained oasis so close to the harbour and bridge. Thanks to the hard work of volunteers, it is absolutely delightful to take a break in the shade.
Near the Harbour Bridge, opposite side from the Opera House, this small wooded area has a series of trails and sculptures. Interesting to wander through, perfect for a picnic, well worth the time to get here.
