Four of us visited Mary Mackillop Place. We were greeted by a volunteer who explained in great detail the Museum, Chapel and Alma Cottage. The Museum is great, with great explanations of items there. The Chapel and resting place of Mary Mackillop are a great place to stop and reflect. Cafe and shop at end were a good place to... More

Accomodation here is great value for money. Set in beautiful grounds, it is close to a train station and buses into the city. With breakfast and free wifi included it is excellent value for money.

My first time here this afternoon and it just took my breath away. Simple surroundings yet a peaceful and spiritual oasis in the heart of North Sydney. I visited the Museum, the Galleries and Alma Cottage, before spending time in the beautiful Chapel for some quiet reflection. I placed a petition for my beloved late parents. Mary MacKillop Place is... More

This museum is a spiritual visit. Your visit starts in a old school. Our guide sat us down and talked about how it was back in the early 1800s. Mary MacKillop was a remarkable women how she helped people. The museum has intractable exhibits. You also walk through Mary's house. Mary MacKillop is buried there. This is a very humbling... More

The place is really close to the train station which makes it easy to go everywhere..really close to cbd.. The room was fine..TV,fan and WiFi...pretty quiet and good cleanings everyday.. The only thing that it made feel little uncomfortable is the fact that is a monastery so there's Virgins and crosses everywhere.. If it was more neutral the lodge part... More

Visited the chapel where Mary Mackillop is buried to say some prays for a friend who is not well. Lovely place to pray. Unfortunately if you want anything blessed by a priest on Fridays your unable to as it is his day off. There is a coffee shop/gift store next door to the chapel.

Mary Mackillop is Australia's first Saint, she devoted her life to the service of the poor and she loved children. Her tomb is situated in the beautiful chapel. It is so peaceful and a great getaway from all the hustle and bustle of daily life. We often attend mass on Sunday or we just visit and enjoy the tranquillity. The... More
