Well worth a quick stop if you are passing. We were on the way back to Cork from Kenmare (via Glengarriff). Seeing this cottage we decided to stop. Very touristy but nice all the same. In addition to the cottage is a coffee shop/ tea rooms and a shop which is nice to browse in.

If you make it to this stop you are doing good! My boyfriend and I needed this as a rest and relaxation stop after driving through the Cork and Kerry Mountains. That is one adventurous ride for your life. I can laugh now, but I was not before. We stopped in to look for some authentic irish sweaters and I... More

The view is fantastic enough. The shop has lots of beautiful Irish made products and it's a tourist stop but I didn't mind at all. The people working there are very genuine and we didn't have time to take the farm tour but that will be for next time. A historical spot and a good place to have some coffee... More

OUr driver stopped here on the way to the Ring of Kerry. We loved the authentic Irish farm and gifts. Many of the wool items were hand made. The people were so friendly and they even shipped our items so we did not have to carry them. Very quaint.

We came across Molly Gallivan's on one of our jaunt's, exploring the mountain passes and I must say it's a real 'Gem'. Although much of the original cottage has been given over to a tearoom and shop, the feel of the place more than makes up for it. Half of the property has been left as it was in the... More

This is a classic tourist trap, with woolly jumpers, trad music and local crafts, but is friendly and welcoming for all that. The views from outside are lovely and it's a short distance from the Caha Pass.

After driving a long way the sight if this place was a much welcome diversion. The views if the valley below are epic, and the little house and tea rooms a good place to grab a coffee and a cake before hitting the road again.

Our tour group spent a late afternoon and evening at Molly's. We toured the farm, heard the history of Molly and her family. We were entertained with lively stories and jokes by the man of the house. I loved the Irish arts and craft shop. We ended the evening with a home cooked Irish meal with live entertainment. I wish... More

Every Wednesday at Molly Gallivan's there is a re-enactment of the homecoming from America back to Ireland of Molly's son who went to New York for several years due to the potato famine in Ireland. The celebration starts out with a delicious home-cooked meal of soup, Irish stew and dessert. Then a raucous good time of story-telling, music and dancing... More

A definite must for a stop and cup of tea - some great shopping too! Beautiful overlook, easy parking. A nice surprise as we didn't know it was there!
