great easy hike up the hill through a sheep pasture

nice hike up through a field with sheep, great views at the top, steep buy more of a "walk" as opposed to a hike. Worth the effort.

The climb through the sheep pasture up the steep headland was not easy but certainly worth it. Once to the top, we saw Dingle Bay, Ventry Bay, the Blasket Islands, Skirrig Michael, and the village of Dingle. We could see birds flying far below. It was a lovely place, certainly worth the 2 euros we each paid for access to... More

Myself with 2 friends decided to stop there while travelling around Dingle Peninsula. It looked like great spot with not many tourists and with great view. It was not easy to find a way to this attaction. It was just private parking for 3-4 cars max at the beginning of the parh, which leads to the hill. We reached there... More

This hike was one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland. This is a 50-60 minute round-trip, medium difficulty hike with plenty of places to stop, catch your breath and take in the incredible views. There is a small "trespass" fee to be able to hike through the sheep farmers land. The hike allows you to get up close... More

The vista views from the top are totally worthwhile, and even better than we expected! The hike is long and not easy. We went on a sunny day and it was still quite muddy. You walk through steep hills, next to sheep. Do not stop halfway up -- go to the top! Views cannot be beat. Unique and perfect for... More

We had such a great time on the Dingle Peninsula, and the hike up to Eask Tower may have been the best couple of hours we experienced. If you look around while in Dingle and see the mound next to town with some sort of structure at the top, it's where Eask Tower is located. What you do is follow... More

Generally easy walk up hill. We stopped a few times to catch our breath since in our late 50's and enjoyed too much of the best Dingle has to offer. We were rewarded at the top with magnificent views of Dingle Bay and the Ocean. This was worth every step around sheep droppings and muddy footing at times. As others... More

Curiously the only sign to this really worthwhile place is at its carpark, and the GPS seemed to want to take me somewhere in the opposite direction. From Dingle, look across the water to the top of the highest hill. That's it. Now find a way to get there ( cross the bridge on route to Slea Head, and turn... More

I had doubts about this hike, but after paying my two euros started my hike up the hill to Eask Tower. You'll spend a lot of time looking down on the way up and down to avoid lots of sheep droppings and mud (it had rained earlier that day), but the view at the top of Dingle and the cliffsides... We walked all the way to the base of the hill on which the tower is situated only to find that you have to pay €2 per adult... We walked from our holiday cottage so didn't bring our wallets or bags and so unfortunately weren't able to walk up to the tower. It's a real shame there are no rambler's... More
